J'ai un commentaire de doc à faire en Anglais, et je n'en ai jamais fait : je vous envoie donc un début et serait très contente d'en recevoir les critiques: en particulier les fautes , mais aussi les phrases trop "françaises", ainsi que les passages trop lourds. Mais aussi ce que les parties que j'ai peut-être oubliées ds ma "description of the general layout" .... This document is a coloured cartoon by the Japonese No-Rio, published in 2004 by the NIHON KEIZAI SHIMBUN news paper, one of the most-read magazine (?) in Japan. ( news paper est different de magzine, mais je n'ai pa de synonyme). For a start, it represents in the foreground two mens, which single common point seems to be their nationality. Effectively, every characters look really different. Whereas the first one, in the middle, working hardly in a kind of wooden wheel, gives the feeling to be blend/ merge with the setting; the other, in the bottom right-hand corner, looking occidentaly, really appears like an intruder. The way they're dressed, they're drawn, their position, their haircut, and also their expressions; everything show us a will of bringing into relief a contrast, surely in position/ holding the cartoonist's message. What's more/ besides, in the background and the middle distance, a traditionnal Japonese landscape, refined and beautifuly coloured, reinforce the paradoxe creating by the second men, refering us to a "legendaire facette" (je n'ai pas la trad)of Japan; a world where tradition, arts and crafts rythm/ pace people life. Finally, a last component appears next to the cartoon : the caption, translating the Japonese worlds inside the ballon, constituying in this way a final information to help us understand this document.
