Bonjour,

THE WEDDING OF PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON

(intro)

The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine Middleton took place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey, in London. Prince William met Kate in 2001 at the University of St. Andrews. Their engagement on 20 October 2010 was announced by the press on 16 November 2010. Prince William gave the engagement ring to Kate that his mother, Diana Spencer, Princesse of Wales, had received from Prince Charles. It is estimated that the wedding was watched around the world by more than two billion people.

(transition)

This wedding caused many critics. This beautiful ceremony cost a fortune.

(1ère partie critique négative)

The wedding was really publicized. Many people have commented on this event. The main aspect of this event is the economic aspect. The cost of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton stood at 107 million euros in average. These are English taxpayers and the family of Prince William and Kate who paid this sum. For this ceremony, taxpayers have supported the expenses concerning the safety of the royal procession of a cost about 95 million euros. However, the reception costs of guests were provided by the royal family and the family of Kate. The Middleton family has spent 34 thousand euros for the wedding dress. This is for us a fortune. The wedding dress of Kate was designed by Sarah Burton of the fashion house Alexander McQueen. Prince William wore an Irish Guards.

Besides, the day of the royal wedding, 29 April 2011 has been declared a holiday day in the United Kingdom. So it was a busy day. Between 22 April and 2 May, many companies have closed during these busy days for holidays. This closure resulted the loss of the British economy approximately between one and two billion euros. We can ask if the unemployed have not considered that these expenses were abusives.

(2ème partie critique positive)

However, this wedding had also positive aspects.

Indeed, this wedding has raised a certain enthusiasm since Prince William married with a beautiful and intelligent commoner but he didn't marry with a girl of royal blood. This is a beautiful proof of love. So, all England was delighted of the royal wedding that signed a certain revival of the monarchy.

Moreover, in a commercial point of view, all kinds of gadgets in effigy of the couple have been sold with a great success such as pens, plates, glasses and other accessories. With the royal family image, many companies launched a new range of crockery and glasses cardboard for picnic on the topic of the royalty.

(conclusion)

In conclusion, this wedding was really causing negative or positive aspects. Through the use of Prince William and Kate images, companies have to make money.

ps : j'ai mis :

taxpayers = contribuables

un jour férié = a day holiday

un jour chômé = a day busy

congés = holidays

une roturière = a commoner

entreprises = companies or businesses

- prince-william-kate-middleton-official-wedding-photo.jpg

- vaisselle-en-porcelaine-a-l-effigie-de-kate-middleton-et-du-prince-10359134cthgh.jpg

- William-et-Kate-facon-Ken-et-Barbie_exact780x1040_p.jpg

Pourriez-vous me corriger svp ?

Je vous remercie d'avance...

:)

Bonjour,

The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine Middleton took place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey, in London. Prince William met Kate in 2001 at the University of St. Andrews. Their engagement on 20 October 2010 was announced by the press on 16 November 2010. Prince William gave the engagement ring to Kate that his mother, Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales, had received from Prince Charles. It is estimated that the wedding was watched around the world by more than two billion people.

This wedding raised / caused many criticisms. This beautiful ceremony cost a fortune.

The wedding was really publicized. Many people have commented on this event. The main aspect of this event is the economic aspect one. The cost of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton stood at 107 million euros in average. These are The English taxpayers and the family of Prince William and Kate who paid this sum. For this ceremony, taxpayers have supported the expenses concerning the safety of the royal procession at a cost of about 95 million euros. The wedding dress of Kate was designed by Sarah Burton of the fashion house Alexander McQueen. Prince William wore an Irish Guards uniform.

Besides, the day of the royal wedding, 29 April 2011 has been was declared a public holiday in the United Kingdom. So it was a busy day. Between 22 April and 2 May, many companies have closed during these busy days for holidays. This closure closing resulted caused the loss of the British economy to lose approximately between one and two billion euros. We can ask wonder whether / if the unemployed have not considered that these expenses were abusives.- adjectif INVARIABLE Si tu écris le S fautif, tu le prononceras à l'oral ! mad.gif

- récit d'un évènement passé, terminé, daté = prétérit.

However, this wedding had also positive aspects.

Indeed, this wedding has raised a certain enthusiasm since Prince William married with a beautiful and intelligent commoner but he didn't marry with a girl of royal blood.< Étant roturière, il est évident qu'elle n'est pas de sang royal. C'est une bien belle lapalissade ! laugh.png This is a beautiful proof of love.

In conclusion, this wedding was really causing had negative or and positive consequences / aspects. Through the use of Prince William's and Kate's images, companies have managed to make money.

PS : j'ai mis :

Besides, the day of the royal wedding, 29 April 2011 was declared a public holiday in the United Kingdom. So it was a working day off. Between 22 April and 2 May, many companies closed during these busy days for holidays.

In conclusion, this wedding really had negative and positive aspects. Through the use of Prince William's and Kate's images, companies managed to make money.

on ne met pas really après "had" ? Non.

Heureusement ! smile.png

Between 22 April and 2 May, many companies closed during these days off.

c'est mieux ici que je remette day off car je voulais plutôt dire jours congés smile.png
