hello !!! voici un texte avec des questions , si vous pouviez me les corriger merci d avance

Oliver Twist is an orphan and is poor. He now lives in the workhouse with other boys. They are not given enough food and it is Oliver’s lot to ask for more gruel that evening.

The gruel disappeared; the boys whispered each other, and winked at Oliver; while his next neighbours nudged him. Child as he was, he was desperate with hunger, and reckless with misery. He rose from the table; and advancing to the master, basin and spoon in hand, said: somewhat alarmed at his own temerity:

'Please, sir, I want some more.'

The master was a fat, healthy man; but he turned very pale. He gazed in stupefied astonishment on the small rebel for some seconds, and then clung for support to the copper. The assistants were paralysed with wonder; the boys with fear.

'What!' said the master at length, in a faint voice.

'Please, sir,' replied Oliver, 'I want some more.'

The master aimed a blow at Oliver's head with the ladle; pinioned him in his arm; and shrieked aloud for the beadle.

The board were sitting in solemn conclave, when Mr. Bumble rushed into the room in great excitement, and addressing the gentleman in the high chair, said,

'Mr. Limbkins, I beg your pardon, sir! Oliver Twist has asked for more!'

There was a general start. Horror was depicted on every countenance.

'For MORE!' said Mr. Limbkins. 'Compose yourself, Bumble, and answer me distinctly. Do I understand that he asked for more, after he had eaten the supper allotted by the dietary?'

'He did, sir,' replied Bumble.

'That boy will be hung,' said the gentleman in the white waistcoat. 'I know that boy will be hung.'

Nobody controverted the prophetic gentleman's opinion. An animated discussion took place. Oliver was ordered into instant confinement; and a bill was next morning pasted on the outside of the gate, offering a reward of five pounds to anybody who would take Oliver Twist off the hands of the parish. In other words, five pounds and Oliver Twist were offered to any man or woman who wanted an apprentice to any trade, business, or calling.

Oliver asked for more food because the orphans weren't given enough food and they chose him to ask for more. "He was desperate with hunger".

5. Show how Dickens creates comical characters here. Quote when necessary.

6. What were the immediate consequences of Oliver’s action for him?

Bonjour , j'ai le même sujet de devoir mais je n'arrive pas à répondre à trois questions :

Je n'arrive toujours pas répondre aux deux autres questions, je n'arrive pas à identifier le caractère comique ...

Je viens juste de voir votre réponse , merci , pour la question 4 , je pensais que c'est en décrivant les réactions des personnages que cela crée un suspens .. mais je ne suis pas sûre de ma réponse . Et pour la question 5 , je ne vois pas ce qui est comique et comment dickens rend ces personnages comiques

J'ai chercher sur e-bahut en tapant un début de texte de mon exercice et je suis tomber sur ce topic qui était exactement sur le même sujet de devoir donc j'en ai profiter pour poser mes questions dessus qui portait sur le même devoir d'il y'a 2 ans ..

2 Question du maître posée d’une voix faible « Quoi ?»

3 Oliver répète sa question, « Sil vous plaît, monsieur, .j’en veux encore.»

4 Le maître lui expédie un coup de louche sur la tête, le saisit par le bras et crie qu’on envoie chercher l’huissier.

À toi de déduire la réponse à rédiger.

C’est volontairement que j’ai numéroté. Ne s’attend-on pas à une « catastrophe » inéluctable qui va s’abattre sur le pauvre Oliver ? On la découvrira juste après, dans les lignes suivantes.

Les membres du conseil siègent en conclave solennel quand M. Bumble fait irruption tout excité et s’adressant au président lui dit :

- M. Limbkins, je vous prie de m’excuser, monsieur, Oliver Twist en a demandé plus !

Tressaillement général de ces messieurs dont le visage se décompose d’horreur.

- Demandé plus ! répéta Limbkins. Reprenez-vous, Bumble et répondez-moi distinctement. Dois-je comprendre qu’il en a demandé plus après avoir consommé le souper que leur attribue la diététique ?

- Oui, monsieur, répliqua Bumble.

- Ce garçon sera pendu, dit le monsieur en gilet blanc. Je sais que ce garçon sera pendu.

NB Il faut savoir que ces messieurs du conseil s’empiffrent de victuailles de toutes sortes alors qu’ils affament leurs pensionnaires.

Malgré la tragédie qui se noue et dont Oliver va être l’innocente victime, quels sont les éléments qui restent comiques dans cette scène ?

À toi de jouer, je n’en ferai pas davantage.

Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse et de votre éclaircissement , donc pour la question 4 , on peut voir que les phrases sont en " crescendo" . Et la question 5 , ce qui rend les personnages comiques c'est que justement ils s’empiffre de tout , mais qu'ils sont choqués que Olivier vienne demander à manger , et cela rend la scène ironique et comique , enfin je ne sais pas comment expliquer cela plus clairement .
