1. Explain the origin and popularity of Spanglish.

Latino Immigrants have created Spanglish. In fact the popular classes could not speak English in the United States very well and have to mix with Spanish.

The fact of Spanglish and of its popularity is recognised, however, by the commercial world. It has been the inspiration for several newspapers and magazines.

2. What does the author think of Spanglish? Why? Do you agree with him? Why (not) ?

The author thinks that it's a new American language because Spanglish is more than a way of communication; He thinks it's a way of thinking, a new way of being for people in the U.S.

I'm not agree with him, to my mind, it's a dangerous threat to the Spanish and English language because it seems like a mishmash.

3. What are the consequence of speaking Spanglish ?

Why is English the door to the American Dream ?

The consequences of speaking Spanglish are that it deteriorates two languages at once. The con's are that it messes with your proper English causing you to talk funny and not properly. Moreover, the person is not speaking spanish correctly and some people in some countries learn spanish wrong (or what they think spanish is) because of Spanglish.

There are many languages that are spoken in the U.S but english is the one language the connects all the people in this country and if you want to succeed in life you will need to know how to communicate with others, in order to accomplish the American Dream. Also, although those foreigners learned english and spoke their native language at home with their children, they insisted their children learn english so that their children would have the best opportunity afforded to them.

Ce serais très aimable de votre part de me corriger mes fautes d'orthographe + grammaire.

=> Majuscule, toujours, aux noms de langues vivantes, exactement comme aux adjectifs et noms de nationalités.

There are many languages that are spoken in the U.S but English is the only language that connects all the people in this country and if you want to succeed in life you will need to know how to communicate with others, in order to accomplish the American Dream.
