Bonjour,

Bonne continuation.

voici le texte avec les réponses

Louis Armstrong was born August 4, 1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana. His family was very poor and he was raised by his grandmother, Josephine Armstrong, and at times, his uncle Isaac.

He first learned to play cornet by ear at Dago Tony’s Tonk, then developed his cornet playing seriously in the band of the New Orleans Home for Colored Waifs, and he then played in bands on a steamboat on the Mississippi.

He moved to Chicago in 1922 to play the cornet in a famous jazz band, Joe "King" Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band, then to play the trumpet in this orchestra.

He moved to Los Angeles and toured around Europe before settling permanently in Queens, New York in 1943.

He was probably the most important jazz musician of the 20th (twentieth) century and was an excellent scat singer; he was really skilled at improvising.

His nickname was "Satchmo" (for "Satchelmouth", because he had a huge mouth). He is also known as a jazz singer and band leader.

He died in Queens July 6 1971 aged 70.
