J'ai joint une image, je dois la décrire. Je vous serais reconnaissante de me corriger et n'hésitez pas à me faire part de vos critiques. J'ai beaucoup de mal, à part 'There is/are' et 'we can see', il me semble que mon travail manque d'une expression.

At the first quick look over the photo doesn't be frighten. The image of the African American father is put the reader and the little girl at rest. It reasures her.

We don't know where the scene takes place. Probably in the morning or in the afternoon (at the tea time) because there is daylight outside through the window.

The main target are the parents and the chidren who should share a good moment around a cramy cake.

There is a caption 'Life is sweet', it's a pun. 'Sweet' is an dajective which especially used to mean that something is pleasant to taste. Around this creamy cake the life of the family becomes sweet or pleasant or nice.

I find that this advertisement is successful because it shows a tenderness and tranquility family scene. The mothers will be happy to see this advert where the men play with a child. It's really a success because we often see a mother and a daughter on an advert.

C'est un travail fouillé mais un peu fouillis. Normalement, on décrit d'abord le document en partant du général vers le détail, de ce qui d'abord saute aux yeux vers de plus en plus de détails.

C'est ce que tu as fait en gros mais en mélangeant un peu la description et l'interprétation.

Formellement, je le répète, on décrit d'abord et on interprète ensuite mais peut-être que je "pinaille"...

- construis des phrases plus simples et ne passe pas d'abord par le français pour "traduire" ensuite.

- package n'est pas faux mais c'est plutôt de l'American English.

- « Every guest has their parts of cake » nécessite une explication.

Après every, chacun(e), on ne peut pas employer l'adjectif possessif masculin ou féminin singulier ou alors il faudrait mettre les deux his/her. C'est pourquoi on contourne la difficulté en employant l'adjectif possessif pluriel qui s'applique indifféremment aux 2 genres.

De plus, l'anglais met le COD au pluriel car il considère que chacun des convives a sa part, d'où le pluriel que l'on dit "idiomatique".

J'ai une question concernant les temps: Lorsque j'ai refait ma dernière description, j'ai employé le présent simple pour dire que la petite fille portait une chemise blanche.

Mais la photo sous les yeux, pour moi elle était en train de porter, donc j'ai failli inscrire she's wearing.... et finalement je l'ai écrit au présent simple. (c'est sur une affiche, ce n'est pas une action).

Y a -t-il des temps que l'on doit impérativement employés dans certains cas?
