Bonjour,

Etant donné que je suis élève de première, j'ai une rédaction à faire sur l'histoire de Baaba Djibo un africain qui fut amener en Amérique de force pour devenir esclave...

Sans plus tarder voici le sujet avec des images l'accompagnant (désolé pour la qualité mais mon scanneur est en panne ) :

Et voici mon essai:

In one June day in 1837, in the west coast Africa, Baaba Djibo and other Blacks, helpless, were tied and herding by force as a cattle: in fact, certain persons of the same ethnic group whipped this slaves traders... Moreover they had a joug on their shoulders but what is the most astounding is that even children and women were ill-treating. Then, (according to the picture 1), Baaba Djibo was driven to a slave ship with other Blacks: we can see white men who were standing whereas slave traders were sitting down on the deck or were crammed in the slave ship's hold. Furthermore, they were shackled. Consequently, Baaba Djibo and these companions travelled in very poor sanitary conditions unaware about what was going to occure: therefore, they travelled in a predicament.

Afterwards, the picture 4 teach us that Baaba Djibo (also young negroes, men and women) were sold at banks' Arcade at auction (so they were reduce to slavery) as a simple object: he was standing on a platform and an American white man bought him. From this day, he worked in a cotton plantation but  his very difficult life in this plantation drove him to run away. Indeed, he lived in a very miserable and desolate cabin and his overseer persecuted him... Then, he succeeded in escaping from this plantation. Unfortunately, a reward was given to every person who will find Baaba Djibo. So, several bounty hunters tracked down and find Baaba Djibo.

(Finally, Baaba Djibo was killed for his disobedience and, now, he represents one of many slaves dead who struggled against the racial segregation) -> faut-il que je rajoute cette phrase car les images ne nous disent pas s'il a été tué ou non?

j'ai travaillé sur le meme sujet, et demain j'ai DS d'anglais et comme par hasard j'ai oublié mon cahier d'anglais au lycée =S.

Alors je pense que c'est un peu trop tard pour t'aider, mais par contre tu m'aides beaucoup, vu que t'as scanné la page où ya tout le vocabulaiiire =D. Merci Merci ^^

Au fait sur ton expression, au début tu dis que "in fact, certain persons of the same ethnic group whipped this slaves traders..." : je comprends que c'est les esclaves qui fouettent les négriers(slave traders). Faudrait pas plutot dire : " In fact, certain persons of the same ethnic group were whipped by slave traders..." ? NON ?

Et no je pense pas que tu dois dire que baaba djibo ait été tué, on le voit pas, et on le sait pas, par contre ouais tu dis que il a été vendu aux enchères (was sold at auction). Je Pense

Bon j'arrive un peu tard mais tu m'as sauvé la vie, en tout cas la note ^^
