The government's objective was to exceed the level of 100 million foreign visitors by the year 2020, but due to the current pandemic the tourism economy will have a hard time recovering. But tourism has not only advantages, cultural heritage is threatened, and some cities are not adapted to tourism. It damages the quality of local life, especially in Barcelona, Rome or Amsterdam ... due to their success! The streets and transport are squrcharged, noise pollution, crowded beaches ...
